Rollin Ivan Thomas, 90, of 179 Penny Lane, New Castle, died November 28, 2011 at his residence.Born November 15, 1921 in Franklin, PA, he was a son of Ivan and Isetta Thomas.He married Anne Haklo who preceded him in death.He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942-1945. Rollin was a truck driver for Martin Trucking and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.He is survived by three sons; Ronald A. Thomas of Mt. Jackson, Larry W. and Mae Thomas of New Castle and Gerry (Goose) L. and Lori Thomas of Warren, PA; one sister, Dorathy Gadzia of Dubois, PA; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Alexander.There will be no visitation or funeral servie. Friends are invited to visit the family at their home at their convenience.Arrangements are by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
