Ronald Re Balderach, Jr., of Pulaski, unexpectedly passed away at Jameson Memorial Hospital on the afternoon of July 25. Born on February 6, 1974, "Ronny" was only forty years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his parents, Dr. Ronald Balderach, Sr., and Mrs. Linda Balderach, as well as his sisters: Mrs. Lori Pino, Mrs. Melinda Deal, and Mrs. Amy Chill. Additional survivors are his brothers-in-law (David Pino, Mark Deal, and Ryan Chill), as well as nephews Jacob Pino, Andrew Pino, Dillan Deal, and Adam Deal. Alexa Pino, his goddaughter and niece, also survives him.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Balderach, Sr., of Galveston, Texas, as well as Mr. John Biggins and Mrs. Florence Chick of East Palestine, Ohio.Mr. Balderach received a diploma from Neshannock High School and graduated from the New Castle School of Trades as a certified welder. He was formerly employed with LARK Enterprises, Chuck Tanner's Restaurant, Westgate Cinemas, and Ralph's Supermarket. Ronny had a wide range of interests. He loved to read both fiction and non-fiction books and once spent an entire summer reading a Biology textbook for fun. He was an avid movie watcher and particularly liked James Bond and science fiction films. Sweets, particularly donuts and pumpkin pie, were a weakness for Mr. Balderach.Ronny also loved airplanes. Mr. Balderach particularly enjoyed watching them land on the runway. His love of planes led to taking several flight lessons at the New Castle Airport several years ago.Mr. Balderach was certified in SCUBA and enjoyed diving in tropical locales like Aruba and Mexico with his father. He also had a penchant for travel, having the rare opportunity to visit most of the lower forty-eight states, Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia, and sundry islands in the Caribbean throughout his short life.Ronny was everyone's friend. He never knew a stranger and enjoyed talking about a variety of topics with anyone who would listen. Family and friends will miss him immensely.Calling hours will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014, from 2 to 4 pm, as well as 6 to 9 pm, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at noon, at the funeral home, followed by internment at 2 pm in Glenview Cemetery in East Palestine, Ohio.
