Ronald F. Green, 75, of New Castle, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 4, 2025, after a two-year battle with cancer.

Born May 22, 1950, in New Castle, PA he was the son of Kenneth and Esther (Pence) Green.

Ron married Kathy (Tomon) Green on August 22, 1970. They welcomed three amazing, loving children, Mark (Tracy) Green, Tami Smith (Anthony Avena), and Michael Green. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Chris, Jarod, Taylin, Brendan, Duane, Carolynn, Sabrina and Kaylee and three great-grandchildren, Koda, Alayna and Georgina; one sister, Fran (Ray) Dell; a sister-in-law, Linda (Bill) Young; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his stepmother, Norma; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walt and Joan Tomon; brother-in-law, Gary Tomon.

Ron attended Neshannock High School and was a graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech. He received his apprenticeship with the Local 66 Operating Engineers where he was a heavy equipment mechanic.

Ron loved life. He loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. He was known for his creative abilities and built the home that he and Kathy shared for 50 years. He enjoyed making ornamental iron pieces that not only adorned their gardens, but many other gardens and homes as well.

He loved riding motorcycles, especially his Harley. Among his varied interests were camping, gardening, going to the Casino's with his wife, and playing with his dog, Buddy.

The family extends a thank you to all of the doctors and nurses at UPMC, especially those who took such wonderful care of him at Jameson CCU and a heartfelt thank you to everyone at the New Castle Hillman Cancer Center.

There will be no visitation. The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date at the family home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hillman Cancer Center.
