Ronald Curtis Saylor, age 96, of New Castle, passed away the morning of October 25, 2026, at the Haven Convalescent Home.

Born May 13, 1930, in Alliance, Ohio, he was the son of James and Margaret (Brooks) Saylor.

Ron was preceded in death on October 11, 1995, by his beloved wife of 44 years, Mary Lu (Gardner) Saylor, whom he married May 26, 1951.

A 1948 graduate of New Castle High School, he received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin. He was employed 41 years as a banker with First National Bank.

A member of the Kiwanis Club of New Wilmington, Ron enjoyed music and spending time with his family. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

He is survived by one daughter, Marsha (John) Saylor-Bovard of Volant, PA; two grandchildren, Susan Mullen (Justin Philson) and Jeremy (Sayra) Bovard; and four great-grandchildren, Dr. Victoria (Patrick) Boggess, Noah Bovard, Kate Bovard and Evalynn Mullen.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
