Ronald J. Sniezek, age 76, of New Castle, passed away the morning of March 12, 2023, at his residence.

Born Sept. 1, 1946, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Edmund Sniezek and Helen (Koch) Sniezek Fullerton.

He married Kay L. (Lutz) Sniezek. She preceded him in death on Sept. 9, 2019.

Ronald was a graduate of New Castle High School. For 35 years, he worked for the City of New Castle, in the weatherization assistance program, until his retirement. After his retirement, beginning in 2012, he worked at the Lawrence County Courthouse as a security guard for the Sherriff's department. Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and socializing with family, friends, and strangers alike. He was a member of the KP Club, Polish Falcons Club, and Independent Methodist Church.

Survivors include one brother, Larry (Ruth) Sniezek, of New Castle, PA; his companion and partner, Lana Marriotti, of New Castle, PA; two nieces and one nephew, Raschelle Smith, Larry Sniezek, and Renee Giordano; six great nieces and nephews; 2 stepchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wed. March 15th from 4:00 PM– 7:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place immediately after visitation at 7:00 PM with the Rev. Frederick Gilbert, of Independent Methodist Church, and Pastor Bryan Warner of Wayside Emmanuel Church, officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
