Ross Wade Meeder, 39, of New Castle, passed away on October 15, 2023, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born on March 7, 1984, in Butler, PA, he was the son of Melvin Meeder and Pamela (Hendrickson) Meeder.

Ross was a graduate of Butler High School and went on to earn his Associate Degree from New Castle School of Trades in Building Technology. He was employed with L&D Construction for many years. He was of Presbyterian faith.

He enjoyed gaming and learning about history, especially the Civil War. He had a passion for carpentry, building things and his most recent hobby, painting.

In addition to his father, Ross is survived by his stepmother, Patti (Lanigan); daughter, Sara Meeder of New Castle; fiancé, Jerri Bower of New Castle; brother, Zachary (Lindsay) Meeder of North Carolina; and stepsons, Patrick & Nicholas.

Along with his mother, Pamela, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
