Russell H. Cade, 75, of Lakewood Gardens Road, New Castle Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Friday Sept. 10, 2010.Russell was born April, 20 1935, in New Castle. He was the son of Russell L. and Jane Young Cade, His father preceded him in death, his mother resides in New Castle. He married the former Edith M. McAnany on August 3, 1956. She survives at home.Mr. Cade worked as a heavy equipment operator for W.R. Cade Paving. Previous to that, he worked as a site superintendent for Colony Builders. He also operated heavy equipment for Joe Cioffi Construction and Western Hickory Coal.Russell attended Eastbrook School and served as a Sgt in the U. S. Marine Corps.His interests included raising cows, socializing and organizing his annual pig roast which he has held for over 20 years. He was also a member of the GBU and CGs Club. He was Protestant.Mr. Cade is survived by a daughter, Carrie L. Cade and her companion Anthony Lombardo of Mt. Jackson; s son Rusty Cade and his fiance', Barb Donaldson of New Castle; four grandchildren, Candace Jones and her companion Jake Brooksher, Ryan Jones, Joshua W. Jones and Dylon Cade; one great grandchild, Sutton Brooksher; three sisters, Laura (David) Dougherty, and twin sisters, Kay Conti and Karen Cimini all of New Castle; and his best friend Scooter, his dog.Russell was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Donald Cade; and his maternal grandmother, Carrie Stitt.Visitation will be on Tuesday, Sept. 14th 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle.A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 15th, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Kurt Knobel officiating.Burial will be in Briar Hill Cemetery.
