Russell Zurasky, age 82 of Pulaski Township, passed away the early morning of June 12, 2021, at his residence.
Russell was born November 1, 1938, in New Castle. He was the son of the late Julius and Agnes (Donley) Zurasky.
On August 15, 1964, he married his beloved wife of 40 years, Charlotte (Reitz) Zurasky. She preceded him in death on November 29, 2005.
Russell was an operating engineer, employed by The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66, for several years until his retirement.
Russell was a caring and giving man and would do anything to help others. He loved to work in his yard and garden, sharing his bounty with family and friends. What gave him the most joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Russell is survived by his 4 children, Teresa Zurasky of Warren, Ohio; Gary (Angela) Zurasky of Warren, Ohio; Julia (Tim) Loveland of Providence Forge, Virginia; Megan (Brent) Wilson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; his siblings, James Zurasky, Frances Sherry, Patricia Diana, Rebecca Frank, Rosemary DeHass, Bobbie Wellman; and fifteen grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Russell was preceded in death by several siblings, Paul Zurasky, Harry Zurasky, Richard Zurasky, Elsie Dean, Martha Reppart, Anna Cooley, Shirley Reno, Arthur Powell and Mike Powell.
In keeping with his wishes, all services were private for the immediate family. He will be entombed at Castleview Mausoleum.
