Ruth Mae Burrows, 83, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of August 28, 2012 at Jameson Hospital.Born December 13, 1928, in New Castle, she was a daughter of Rev. Clifford L. Duncan and Emma V. Duncan.Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Burrows, whom she married on September 13, 1976.She enjoyed sewing, bowling and crocheting. Ruth was a member of Independent Methodist Church.Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Kathi Heims of Bessemer, PA; three brothers, Joel Duncan of New Castle, Jim Duncan of Tionesta, PA, and Thomas Duncan of Edinburg; two sisters, Mildred Booher of Rock Hill Furnace, PA and Maryellen Koelliker of New Castle; two grandchildren, Eric Heims of Johnstown, PA and Gretchen Clark of Edinburg; and four great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Heims; and one sister, Nancy I. Rae.Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31,2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Frederick H. Gilbert will officiate. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio.
