Ruth E. "Ru Ru" Lutz, 84, formerly of Belle Aire Drive, went to be with her Lord the evening of November 22, 2012 at Golden Hills Nursing Home. Born April 7, 1928, in New Castle, she was a daughter of Clare M. and Thelma Roberts Lutz.She was a graduate of New Castle High School was employed as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company for over 30 years. Ru Ru enjoyed line dancing and had a love for children, as evidenced by her years of babysitting and dedication of her time to help with the First Baptist Church Pre-School. She also was a member of the First Baptist choir for many years. She is survived by two sisters, Bettie L. McMillin and Janet M. (Wayne) McCormick of New Castle; three brothers, Donald S. Lutz, Dewey C. (Florence) Lutz, and Kenneth M. (Peggy) Lutz, all of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Benke and two brothers, Robert and Eugene Lutz. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2012, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place on Monday, November 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. John Yergan will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
