Ruth A. McGee, 75, formerly of Patrick Dr., Portersville, passed away the afternoon of January 27, 2014. Born December 1, 1938 in Warren, OH, she was the daughter of William R. and Martha J. Hazlett Martin. Ruth married James Paul McGee June 17, 1961. He passed away January 26, 1976. She was a 1956 graduate of Laurel High School and a 1959 graduate of Jameson School of Nursing. Ruth was a dedicated registered nurse who retired from Jameson Hospital in 2000. She enjoyed her grandchildren and their activities. She was a member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. Ruth is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie A. and Wes Altman of New Castle, Denise L. and Steve Phipps of Grove City, and Bethanie J. and George Petronelis of New Castle; a son and daughter-in-law, James P. and Kara McGee of New Castle; a brother and sister-in law, John and Stephanne Martin of New Castle; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary Alice Harlan of Darlington, SC, Martha Sonntag of New Castle, Sue and Ray Bales of New Castle, and Sylvia and Les Krepton of Homer Glen, IL; and 12 grandchildren, Meghan and husband Will, Katelyn, Jordan, Amanda and husband Joshua, Ross, Chelsea, Jenna, Ciara, Jacob, Rich, Anna and Reilly. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by a brother, James Martin. Visitation will be Thursday, January 30, 2104, 4-8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
