Ruth E. 'Betty' Stevens, age 104, of New Castle, PA, passed away peacefully the evening of Nov. 10, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Care Center.

Born March 8, 1921, in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Margaret (Fowler) Evans.

She was married to George Stevens who preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 2000.

Mrs. Stevens was a devoted follower of Christ. She dedicated her life to serving her church and her family. Betty was a faithful member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church where she was active in her Sunday School class. What gave her the most joy in life, was spending time with her beloved family.

Survivors include three daughters, Nancy (John) Panarella and Margaret Stroebel, both of New Castle, PA, and Karol Kerrick of Cleveland, OH; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by son George A. Stevens, daughter, Karen Powers, and two brothers, Jack, and William Evans.

In keeping with her wishes, private services will be held for her family.

Burial will be alongside her husband at Castleview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be offered to the Christian Education Committee c/o Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church, 220 E. Clen-Moore Blvd., New Castle, PA 16105.
