Sally Jane Yost, 70, of Wayne Township, New Castle, passed away at the Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, PA at 5:15 a.m. on May 31, 2012.Mrs. Yost was born at the Sharon Memorial Hospital on July 27, 1941 to the late Dale Lundy and Jane McIlveen Lundy.Sally graduated from Union High School and also the New Castle Business College. She also completed additional courses at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA.Sally was briefly employed by the Bell Telephone Company and Haneys Furniture Store before accepting employment as the camera department manager of Gaylords Department Store previously located on the Ellwood New Castle Road.Sally had many interests including spending time with her family, crafts, fishing, auto shows, attending Medieval Festivals, Native American Pow-Wows and gardening.She pursued her love of photography eventually resulting in awards received through photographic competitions and a commendation from the Pennsylvania State Police for photos taken at an experimental aircraft crash site.Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Jane and Dale Lundy of New Castle, PA; and her brother, Larry Lundy of Algona, Washington.Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Joseph Earl Yost, whom she married on November 23, 1963; two daughters, Lorrie Ann and her husband George Lutz Jr. of New Castle, and Jill Lynn Hart of Evans City; three grandchildren, Jordyn Hart, Dyllan Hart, and Justyn Hart all of Evans City, PA.Visitation will be Sunday, June 3, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.The funeral service will be held Monday, June 4, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Teresa Kendall will officiate.Internment will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
