Samuel A. Nero, 72, of New Castle passed away the evening of December 1, 2016 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born February 10, 1944 in New Castle, he was the son of Samuel S. Nero and Dorothy Mae Harding Nero. Samuel was formerly married to Donna M. Cook Nero whom survives at home. He graduated from New Castle High School. He was employed at Shenango China as a curer. Samuel was an avid reader and loved music. He is survived by one son, Samuel A. Nero III and daughter-in-law, Janell Nero; one brother; four sisters; and three grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents and one brother. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
