Sandra J. Ayersman, 73, of New Castle, passed away the morning of July 10, 2022, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born December 21, 1948, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Harold Forkey, Sr. and Sara (Petro) Forkey. Sandra was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Indian Creek several years ago. She is survived by two daughters, Heidi J. Bingle and Donelle G. Strutt, both of Florida; one son, Richard Fritz, Sr. of New Castle; one brother, Charles Walker of Florida; four sisters, Marcy Lautz of Texas, Verna Podgorscak of Mt. Jackson, PA, Karen Russell of Wampum and Shari Phillips of New Castle; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold R. Forkey, Jr. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.
