Sandy J. Sesko, age 72, of New Castle, passed away the morning of July 25, 2024, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born February 7, 1952, in New Castle, she was the daughter of John Slack, Sr. and Eilleen Nadine (Aiken) Slack.

Sandy was a 1970 graduate of New Castle High School. She was employed for 20 years with Jameson Hospital in housekeeping and was a member of Calvary Independent Church.

In addition to her love for the beach, she enjoyed watching baseball and softball games and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. What she treasured most was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her mother; three daughters, Kris Moffatt, Jackie (Joseph) Kobialka and Tara Kienast, all of New Castle; one son, Pastor Joey (Jennifer) Edgerton of Winston Salem, NC; two brothers, Scott Slack of New Castle and Steve Slack of Tennessee; one sister, Carol LeVangie of New Castle; nine grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Carter, Brittany, Danielle, Justin, Hunter, Payton and Lincoln; and three great-grandchildren, Chase, Aubree and Ryann.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Slack, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A Memorial Service will take place immediately following the visitation at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with her son, Pastor Joey Edgerton, officiating.
