Sara J. Tinstman, 67, of New Castle, passed away the evening of December 19, 2018, at her residence, surrounded by her family. Born August 2, 1951, in Erie Pa., she was the daughter to Ted and Nancy (Seay) Trampenau. On November 12, 1971, she married Thomas Tinstman. He survives at home. Mrs. Tinstman was a graduate of Erie McDowell High School. Sara was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, gardening, sitting on her front porch swing, as well as planning and decorating for family gatherings. What gave Sara the most joy in life, was spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Along with her husband Thomas, Sara is survived by two daughters; Gretchen (Jeff) Sink, Meagan (Jacob) Billyk, both of New Castle, three sons; Bradley (Danielle) Tinstman of Jacksonville, FL, Ted (Jamie) Tinstman and Tim (Shannon) Tinstman, both of New Castle, three sisters; Susan O'Toole of Pittsburgh, Pa., Amy Salvatore and Emily Trampenau, both of Erie, PA, and twelve grandchildren; Synnovea, Bradan, Isabel, Grace, Nathan, Jacob Jr., Jackson, Chase, Emmy, Maddox, Brodie, and Ella. Preceding her in death, are her parents. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 AM - Noon at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will follow immediately at Noon with Rev. Matthew Bupp, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery.
