Sarah M. Hunt, age 94 of Portersville, PA, passed away the early morning of Sept. 23, 2021, at Carriage Manor Personal Care Home. Born April 7, 1927, in Portersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Isaiah Kennedy and Bernice Ralston Kennedy Brown. In 1944 she married her beloved husband Roy R. Hunt, who preceded her in death in 2003. Sarah enjoyed cooking, gardening, and working on her family's farm. For several years, she worked outside of her home at Johnson Bronze, St. Joseph's Nursing Home and Major's Manor, as a nursing aide. Sarah was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Herbert Hunt, of New Castle, and Stanley Hunt, of Portersville; two grandchildren, Michael (Jill) St. Clair and David (Laura) Hunt; and four great-grandchildren, Noah St. Clair, Chloe St. Clair, Sydney Hunt and Tyler Hunt. In addition to her parents and husband, Sarah was preceded in death by one sister, Devona Updegraph. A graveside service will be held on Sat. Sept. 25th at 11:00 AM at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery, 304 Old Rte. 19, New Castle, PA 16101, with Nancy Harlan officiating. Burial will be alongside her husband, at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.
