Sarah Frances Miller Sonntag, age 91, of New Castle passed away the morning of December 22, 2016 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. Born in Jackson Center on February 25, 1925, she was a daughter of Ansley S. and Dora W. Klabbatz Fowler. In 1944 she married Charles Miller, who preceded her in death in 1991. She then married Paul Sonntag in 1993. He also preceded her in 1999. Sarah was employed in insurance sales at American Family Life and was a member of Arlington Avenue Free Methodist Church. She was most known for her generosity and caring for other people. She had a gift for sewing and made many beautiful quilts. She adored spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Gary L. and James E. (Debra) Miller; one daughter, Beverley J. (Terry) Tressler, all of New Castle; five grandchildren, Aaron Miller, Andrew, Timothy, Daniel, & Emily Tressler; and four great grandchildren. Besides her parents and her two husbands, Sarah is preceded in death by two brothers, John and Alfred Fowler, and one grandson, Travis Miller. Private visitation was held at the request of the family. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.
