Scott E. Palmer, age 58, of West Middlesex, PA, passed away the early morning of Oct. 10, 2023, at his residence.
Born Nov. 20, 1964, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of George W. Palmer and Carol A. (Williams) Ascione. They survive.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Lauretta (Hamilton) Palmer, whom he married on Feb. 6, 1988.
Scott was a 1982 graduate of Union High School. He was, employed by Praxair, for 30 years where he retired as plant manager. Scott enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and grilling. He always looked forward to travelling with his family and friends. His happy place was the family camp, in Kennerdell, PA. What gave him the most joy in life was the time he spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Scott was a 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite Cathedral and he was also a member of Kedron Lodge in West Middlesex, PA.
In addition to his wife, survivors include daughter, Chelsey Palmer (Bill Colwell) of Oil City, PA; son Josh Palmer (Jenny Racoci) of Pulaski, PA; brother Todd Palmer of New Castle, PA; and five grandchildren, Mackenzie Muscarella, Emily Muscarella, Casey Romine, Joshua Palmer, and Cooper Cowell.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Thurs. Oct. 12th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A Celebration of Life service will take place Fri. Oct. 13th at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home, with Pastor August Hurst of West Middlesex, officiating.
Burial will be at Haywood Cemetery in West Middlesex, PA.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hilman Cancer Center in Neshannock, and also Anova Hospice of New Castle, for their great care and compassion.
