Sharon Lee Gilmore, age 75, of New Castle, PA, passed away the afternoon of Sept. 24th, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born Dec. 3, 1950, in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Rita (Parsons) Trover.

Sharon worked as the store manager at the Ellwood City Rite Aid, for several years, until her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion #852, the Moose Club, and was a lifetime member of the Polish Falcon Club. Sharon loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted companion, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Survivors include her companion, John Ayers of New Castle, PA; two sons, Daniel McCue (Jami Straley) of New Castle, PA, and Sean (Stephanie) Gilmore of New Jersey; brother, Howard (Carol) Trover of New Castle, PA; sister, LuAnne (Tom) Kennedy of Ellwood City, PA; three grandchildren, Nicholas McCue, Aidan Gilmore, and Jensen (Joseph) McCue, one great-grandchild, Stella Passerrello, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Gilmore, and daughter, Leslie McCue.

Visitation will be held on Monday Sept. 28th from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation, at 6:00 PM.

Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
