Sharyn L. Critchlow, 63, of New Castle passed away the morning of April 8, 2011 at UPMC Horizon.Born April 22, 1947 in Los Angeles, Calif, she was the daughter of LeRoy C. and Zalia Sams Faehnrich.Sharyn graduated from New Castle High School in 1965. She started her career as an EMT, and was then employed as a dispatcher for Lawrence Emergency Operation Center for 20 years. Sharyn retired after serving approximately ten years as Lawrence County Emergency Management Coordinator.Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Traci L. and Brian S. Gruber of New Castle; two brothers, LeRoy C. Faehnrich of Las Vegas and Randall K. Faehnrich of New Castle; a sister, Robyn Faehnrich-Palmer of Santa Monica, Calif; and one grandson, Jacob Ryan Gruber.Sharyn was preceded in death by her parents.There is no public visitation.A private funeral service will be held at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
