Shawn Bennear, 61, of Edinburg, unexpectedly passed away Friday morning March 6, 2026.

Born November 5,1964, in Kennedy Township, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Violet Bennear.

Mr. Bennear was employed as a truck driver at Dave Catlett Construction LLC.

Shawn was a member of Mahoning Township Volunteer Fire Department 205.

He enjoyed hanging with all of his kids, going to train shows, collecting trains, and riding his motorcycle.

Mr. Bennear is survived by his son Jeremey Bennear of Edinburg, Jennifer Jacobs; two grandchildren, Aleks Morales and Raven Jacobs of Grove City; his stepsons, Ryan Sickenberger of Pittsburgh, Micheal (Brittany) Lively of Chicora, and his grandson Ryan J Sickenberger of Irwin. He also leaves behind his dear friends, Dawn Sickenberger of Edinburg, Elizabeth Wright of FL, Mike Tobin of Cranberry Township, Adam Metrocavige of New Wilmington, as well as many coworkers, and friends.

A private service will be held by his family.
