Shirley J. Beatty, 59, of 1208 Willowbrook Road, New Castle, died the morning of April 23, 2010 in Jameson Hospital.Born November 26, 1950 in New Castle, PA, she was a daughter of Arthur J. and Grace E. (Betty) McChesney Beatty. She was a 1970 graduate of Shenango High School and was employed with The Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts.Shirley loved flowers and spending time with her friends. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church.She is survived by one sister, Carol Houston of New Castle; two nephews; and one great niece.She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.Visitation will be held Monday, April 26, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Douglas Hughes will officiate.Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
