Shirley L. Grimm, age 94, of New Castle, PA, passed away the evening of Sept. 20, 2026, at Kadima, New Wilmington.

Born March 3, 1932, in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Lena M. (Kuder) Nolte.

On June 3, 1955, she married her beloved husband of 53 years, Alfred Grimm. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2008.

Shriley was a graduate of NeCaHi with the class of 1950. Mrs. Grimm was employed by Bell Telephone Company, where she worked as a telephone operator, for seven years. Mrs. Grimm also worked with her husband on the houses he built. She was a member of the Wimodausis Club and Eastern Star. Mrs. Grimm never forgot to send cards for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays to everyone. Shirley enjoyed taking car rides in the country with her family. She was a faithful member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. What gave Shirley the most joy in life, was spending time with her family, especially her friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Grimm of Katy, TX, Denise Arms of Mechanicsburg, PA; two sons, Duwayne Grimm of Lillington, NC, and Alexander Wendeheart of Portland, OR; three grandchildren,

Visitation will be held on Sat. Oct. 24th from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at, 3:00 PM, with Rev. Jordan Rimmer, officiating.
