Shirley M. Hogue, 85, of Golden Hill Nursing Home, passed away the afternoon of February 24, 2015 at her residence. Born April 3, 1929 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Charles F. and Frances Hoover O'Brien. She retired as a beautician with Louis Beauty Shop. A member of First United Methodist Church, she attended the Kumjoynus-Eltekon Sunday school class. Shirley is survived by nieces, Patricia Kubel, Sandi Caimi and Cheri Norris of Florida, and Barbara Young of Pittsburgh; a nephew, Robert O'Brien of Pittsburgh; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dorothy O'Brien and Florence O'Brien; and 5 brothers, William, Harold, John, Francis and Dale O'Brien. There will be a brief visitation Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
