Shirley R. Proch, 82, of Shenango Township, passed away peacefully on the morning of November 28, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born on November 22, 1933 in New Castle, she was the daughter, of the late, Clifford and Virginia Wilson Book.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joseph H. Proch of New Castle, who resides at their Shenango Township Home.
Shirley was a 1952 graduate of Shenango High School and a member of the Third United Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Embroiderers' Guild and enjoyed needle working.
She was employed at Book and Proch Well Drilling of New Castle, the family business of her father and husband, for many years.
In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by her sons, Jeff Proch, and his wife Margie, of Canfield, OH and Nathan Proch of Los Angeles, CA; her grandson, Jon Proch of Brecksville, OH and her granddaughter Katie Proch of Washington D.C.
Shirley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending every possible moment with her family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral Home. Dr. Doug Miller and Rev. Henk Bossers will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery.
