Shirley Anne Reed, 77, of Jefferson Manor, Brookville, PA, passed away at her residence the morning of May 26, 2013. Born April 21, 1936, in Brookville, PA, she was a daughter of Charles W. and Florence M. Shick Dempsey. She was preceded in death in 1966 by her husband, Ivan M. Miller, Sr. She subsequently married Joseph Clark Reed on December 7, 1971, and he passed away June 12, 2007. Shirley was a licensed practical nurse at Hillview Manor for 11 years, retiring in 1984.She enjoyed cross stitch and was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church in Sandy Lake. She is survived by three sons, Gary L. Miller and John A. Miller both of Brookville, PA, and David W. Miller of Bellefonte, PA; two step-daughters, Sherry Cubellis of New Castle and Mickey Patoray of Youngstown, OH; one sister, Beulah Coffman of Reynoldsville, PA; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Ivan W. Miller, Jr.; one step-daughter, Carol Ann Jones; and one sister, Mary Maczaczyj. At Shirley's request, there will be no visitation or service. Burial will be in Castleview Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
