Shirley L. "Sis" (McVay) Willis, age 87, of West Middlesex, passed away the afternoon of July 18, 2020 at Quality Life Services, New Castle. Born Sept. 10, 1932, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Earl C. and Margaret (Duddy) McVay. On Dec. 1, 1952, she married her husband of 67 years Donald R. Willis and he survives. Shirley was a graduate of New Castle High School. She was a homemaker who spent most of her time helping others, but what gave her the most joy in life, was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed celebrating her Irish heritage and St. Patrick's Day. Shirley loved to listen to country music. In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by three daughters, Karen (Stephen) Esposito of Slippery Rock, Twp., PA, Melanie (Jeff) Miller of New Wilmington, PA, Debroa Bishop of Boardman, OH; three sons, Bruce G. Willis of New Castle, Brant S. (Sharon) Willis of New Wilmington, PA, Gordon F. (Abby) Willis of Goodview, VA; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl "June" McVay, Jr., Charles McVay; two sisters, Ruth Hoover and Rose Mary McVay and one grandson, Bruce G. Willis, Jr. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or services. Burial will be at Castle View Gardens.
