Obituary

Sonual M. Williams, 74, of New Castle, went to be with the Lord the morning of Jan. 12, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his family. Sonual was born on May 14, 1938, in Edinburg, to the late Paul and Martha Murdock Williams.He married the former Ruth E. Murawski on May 11, 1963. She survives. Mr. Williams was a graduate of New Castle High School and attended Youngstown State University. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran serving in the 7th armored division in 1962-1964, while stationed in Germany. Sonual worked in the manufacturing industry during his time with Youngstown Sheet & Tube, J & L Steel, Sharon Steel, Bruce & Merilees and Rex Machine. Mr. Williams enjoyed activities like bicycling, American history and fishing. His greatest passion, however, was reserved for his family as he was a wonderful family man. He was a member of the Independent Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, Sonual is survived by his daughter, Kelly J. Williams and her fianc(c), Jeffery A. Richards of New Castle; his son and daughter-in-law Shawn Williams and Suzy Fried of North Wales, PA; one sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Paul Bosley of Buckeye, AZ; and three grandchildren, Pvt. Donald J. Lusby and his wife Sierra, Brandon L. Lusby and Owen Williams. Mr. Williams was preceded in passing by his parents and his brother, Marvin Williams. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013, from 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday, January 16, 2013, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., New Castle. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Fredrick Gillbert and Pastor Matthew Bupp will officiate. Burial will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the Sara Jane Murawski Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 201 S.
