Stephanne Martin, age 87 of New Castle, passed away the morning of July 16, 2025, at QLS – New Castle.
Born July 29, 1937, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Katherine (Stickel) Dudash.
On Dec. 22, 1955, she married her beloved husband, John F. Martin. He preceded her in death.
Stephanne was a 1955 graduate of Princeton High School. For many years, she worked as a salesclerk, for Joann Fabric. Sewing, gardening, reading, crafting, and planting flowers around her house were some of her favorite hobbies. What gave Stephanne the most joy in life, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Deanna L. (Aaron) Rensel of Portersville, PA; four sons, Steve Martin of Brighton Twp., PA, Bryan (Jenny) Martin of Augusta, GA, Doug (Janice) Martin of South Daytona, FL, and Harry Martin of New Castle, PA; six grandchildren, Jennifer Hendley, Brian Mulligan, Rachael Hinkle, Christopher Wisniewski, Ethan Rensel, and Phillip Martin-Edwards; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Aaron 'AJ' Rensel and one sister, Mary Jane Shidemantle.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Charles Brown, officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be offered to Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church, 1166 Church Alley, New Castle, PA 16101.
