Stephen Kline, 93, of Jameson Care Center, formerly of Buena Vista Way, passed away the morning of January 16, 2011 at his residence.Born December 26, 1917 in New Castle, he was a son of Stephen and Katherine Schuller Kline.He married Mary E. Hahn on September 25, 1948. She survives in New Castle.He was a 1936 graduate of Eastbrook High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.Stephen was a carpenter for thirty years with the New Castle Carpenter Local Union #268, formerly Local Union #206.He was a member of the Eintracht Singing Society, enjoyed bowling, fishing and gardening but most importantly loved being with his family.He was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and served on the church council.In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Nancy and Paul Cummings of Mt. Jackson and Shirley and Ray Janoski of West Middlesex; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen W. and Okjoo Kline of New Castle; four grandchildren, Jeffrey S. Cummings, Julie A. Dean, Sandra E. Kline and Brock S. Janoski; and four great-grandchhildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Jennie St. Clair, Katherine Workman and Matilda Drake; and one brother, Michael Kline.Vistitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Carl Sacherich will officiate.
