Susan J. Dess, 55, of Grapevine, Texas passed away on January 30, 2018 at Baylor All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on December 14, 1962 in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of William and Helen Dess. She was a 1981 graduate of Union High School. She earned her degree in Engineering from Penn State, graduating in 1985. Susan was employed as a Structural Engineer with American Airlines, Bombardier, and U.S. Air. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, and knitting. In addition to her father she is survived by two daughters, Kristen McConnell of Grapevine, Texas, and Sarah Steiner of Heidelberg, PA; one grandson, Austin; six brothers and two sisters. Susan was preceded in death by her mother. Visitation will be held Friday, February 2nd from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday at funeral home with Rev. John Yergan officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
