Suzanne E. Kelso, 90, formerly of Parkstown Corners, and lately of the Greer House, passed away the morning of Feb. 4, 2010, at the Avalon Nursing Center.Born July 22, 1919, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Alfred T. and Nelle Westlake Sadler.She married Frank E. Kelso on Aug. 30, 1941. He passed away in 1997.Suzanne was a 1937 graduate of New Castle High School.She was a secretary of the Salvation Army for 17 years and previously worked for Bell Telephone as an operator.Suzanne was a Jameson Hospital volunteer, a member of Wimodausis, and the New Castle Music Club. She enjoyed playing cards, the piano, ballroom dancing and bowling. She also loved to write and would enter her writings into contests.A life member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, she was involved with the Rebecca Missionary Circle, Friendly Couples Sunday School Class, and was a Sunday school teacher.Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Jerry Pink of New Castle; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry Kelso of Pittsburgh, and David F. and Carolyn Kelso of Santa Cruz, Calif.; three grandchildren, Eric and Mona Kelso, Kristin Kelso, Andrea and Andy Ai; three great grandchildren, Virginia Sue Kelso, Allison Ai and Alexander Ai.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Alfred T. Sadler.Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at the funeral home. The Rev.
