Suzanne Stock, age 93, of New Castle, passed away the morning of Jan. 12, 2023, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. She is spending her eternal life with her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born Oct. 24, 1929, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Ethel (Milleman) Bessell.

On May 2, 1947, she married her husband of 71 years, James W. Stock. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2019.

Suzanne was a graduate of Shenango High School. For 10 years, she was employed at Hillview Manor, as a Dietary Aide, until her retirement in 1990. Suzanne was a volunteer with Contact Ears for 18 years and was the secretary for the Alliance Missionary Women. Suzanne was an active member of Clifton Flats Alliance Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, Deaconess, a member of The Christian Women's Club, and played the wash board in The Kitchen Band. What gave her the most joy in life, was the time she spent with her family. Suzanne left this world a better place.

Survivors include her children, James W. (Claire) Stock, Jr. of New Castle, PA, Cynthia (Dan) Powell of The Woodlands, TX, Patricia (Mike) Cindrich of New Castle, PA; one sister Bonnie (Mike) Kapraly; five grandchildren, James J. (Chrissy) Stock, Nicole (Ronald) Hiler, Jason (Sandra) Ridenbaugh, Kara Grant (A. Grant), Frank (Taylor) Attisano; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Suzanne was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Samuel Bessell.

Visitation will be held on Sunday Jan. 15th from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105.

A service will take place, immediately following visitation, at the funeral home, at 4:00 PM, with Pastor John McCready officiating.

Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery.
