Sylvia A. Richeal, 79, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of December 8, 2017 at The Grove at New Wilmington. Born April 13, 1938 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Samuel J. Reese and Catharine Berkley Simmons. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lee C. Richeal, whom she married on June 7, 1957. A 1956 graduate of New Castle High School, Sylvia was employed with Liberty Mutual Insurance as an underwriter assistant for 30 years until her retirement in 2000. She served as president of the band parents and enjoyed sewing, cross stitch and flower gardening and was a member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Susan (Thomas) Terpin of Girard, Ohio; one son, David L. Richeal of Prairie Grove, ILL; two brothers, Randy (Ruth) Reese of New Castle and Mark Reese of New Galilee; two sisters, Betty (Bill) Love of Jamestown, PA and Linda (Charles) Simon of New Castle; and three grandchildren, Steven Terpin, Jacob Richeal and Thomas Richeal. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gay Williams and Rita Crisci; and one brother, Douglas Reese. In keeping with Sylvias wishes, there will be no calling hours.
