Sylvia A. Woodcock, age 68, of Young Street, passed away the afternoon of November 12, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born August 8, 1948 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Ignatius and Austia Patterson Berry. A graduate of Grove City High School, she was employed for 15 years with Frenz Petroleum Corp. in accounts payable/receivable. Sylvia will always be remembered as being a hard worker and always keeping busy. She was a member of North Liberty Presbyterian Church. Sylvia is survived by her companion, Michael Swyers; her daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Chris Macy of Columbia, Missouri; one brother, Gerry Berry of Grove City; her first husband, Jack Spanglehour; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins in the New Castle area. She was preceded in death by her parents. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or service. Burial will be in North Liberty Cemetery in Grove City. The family asks that any memorial contributions may be given to a veteran's charity. Arrangements are by the R.
