Terry Lee Gibson, 64, of Neshannock Township passed away on June 11th, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease, with her husband and daughter holding her hands. Born on December 14th, 1957, Terry was the daughter of the late George Donald and Barbara Black. Terry is survived by her devoted husband, Frederick C Gibson, whom she married on October 15th, 1983. Terry was a prior member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church and later attended Grace United Methodist Church. She graduated from Neshannock High School where was a star basketball player earning section MVP and Miss Basketball of Lawrence County Honors. She later graduated with a degree in Education in 1979 from Edinboro University and a Master's in Speech Pathology from Kent State University. Terry retired in 2016 from the Jameson Health System where she worked as a speech pathologist and later the Coordinator of Rehabilitation Services for thirty years. She loved working for Jameson and her dedicated employees and spending time with her friends, "The Fan Club." Terry's greatest joy was traveling to her daughter's running races with her husband. She was a huge Steeler fan and hosted many game-day parties. She especially loved everything Christmas. Terry enjoyed golfing with her friends at the New Castle Country Club and organizing shopping trips to New York City. In her later years, she loved spending time in Pompano Beach, FL with her husband and good friends. She will always be remembered for her intelligence, upbeat personality, competitive spirit, and unwavering love for friends and family. Her devotion and love to her husband and daughter will be missed most of all. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Fred Gibson, daughter Kacey Gibson and now husband Kai Laird of Williamsburg, VA, brother and sister-in-law, David and Edna Black, as well as her sister, Cathy Robison of New Castle. Terry was preceded in death by her father George Donald Black and mother Barbara Lane Black. Special thanks to the staff of Home Instead Senior Care and Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford, PA. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6PM on Tuesday June 14th, 2022, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road. A service will immediately take place following visitation at 6PM at the funeral home, officiated by the Reverend John McCready of First Alliance Church.
