Thelma J. DeCaprio, 85, of New Castle, passed away at her residence, surrounded by her family, on the afternoon of January 2, 2012.She was born in New Castle on December 4, 1926, to Riley and Rosetta Porter Flaugher. Thelma is survived by her husband of 57 years, Eugene DeCaprio. She was a member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church.In addition to her husband, she leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Scott Wells of Orcutt, CA, and her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Erin DeCaprio of Washington, D.C.. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: Ralph and Helen Flaugher of Pittsburgh; Harold Flaugher of Gold Canyon, AZ; Joseph and Bonnie Flaugher of LaFayette, NJ; Dorothy Kennedy of New Castle; Virginia and John Thompson also of New Castle; Florence Ayers of Gibsonia, PA; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Adele and Carmen Torockio of Pittsburgh. She will be fondly remembered by her three loving grandchildren, Roman DeCaprio, and Griffin and Paige Wells, and numerous nieces and nephews, many of whom referred to her as Aunt T.She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister, Alma Cioffi.A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church.
