Thelma Masters Garrett, age 93 of New Castle, passed away the late evening of June 12, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Care Center.

Born Nov. 28, 1931, in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Cecelia (Blews) Masters.

On May 6, 1970, she married Robert W. Garrett. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2007.

For 30 years, Thelma was employed by Troutmans Department Store, working in the credit department. She then went on to work in the credit department, at Kings Jewelry Store, until her retirement. Thelma enjoyed spending time with her family. She attended Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include nieces Shirley Garrett and Linda Hogue as well as several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by two sisters, C. Evelyn Walker and Ruth Bowen, and one brother, Joseph Masters.

In keeping with her wishes a private service will be held.
