Thelma M. Mansky, 74, of 1151 Runge Avenue, Struthers, Ohio, passed away the afternoon of August 28, 2011 at her residence.Born July 15, 1937 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Wilbur and Irene Hettenbaugh Macom. She was employed as a nurse by the State of Ohio after graduating from nursing school. Upon retirement in 2002, she worked as a nurse for the Horizon House.Thelma enjoyed gardening and baking and loved taking care of her pets. She also liked spending time with her family and friends.She is survived by nieces, Lori Macom of Wampum, Lisa Macom and Jim Iafe of Cranberry Twp., and Deb Padilla of Calif; nephews, Jamie and Crystal Macom and daughter Anne of Wampum, and Duane Padilla of Calif; and a sister-in-law, Kate Macom of Wampum.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Macom and one sister, Janet Padilla.There will be no calling hours.A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring Street, Struthers, OH 44471.
