Thelma R. Ringler, age 86, of New Castle, passed away the evening April 8, 2025, at her residence.

Born June 14, 1938, in Edinburg, PA., she was the daughter of John and Mary (Mathews) McClelland.

She was preceded in death on May 15, 2001, by her husband of 35 years, Robert E. Ringler, Sr., whom she married December 4, 1965.

Thelma was a teacher' aide with the Midwestern IU4 in Grove City for 10 years and was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Portersville. Among her many interests, she enjoyed quilting, cross stitch, and cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Melinda (John) Morrison of New Castle; one son, Robert (Staci) Ringler, Jr. of New Castle; four grandchildren, William Morrison, Mallory Quinn, Jacob Ringler and Jamie Kennard; and four great grandchildren, Reid Ringler, Riley Ringler, Grayson Kennard, and Xavier Kennard.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert McClelland and William McClelland and great-granddaughter, Rowan Louise Quinn.

Visitation will be held on Fri. April 11th from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation, at the funeral home, at 6:00 PM with Pastor Judy Wilson, officiating.

Burial will be next to her husband in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
