Thelma M. Withers, age 99, of Shenango Township, passed away the morning of December 29, 2021, at her residence. Born December 2, 1922, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Robert M. and Adalaide F. (Clark) Moon. She was preceded in death on September 3, 2002, by her beloved husband of 60 years, David T. "Pud" Withers, whom she married October 25, 1941. A graduate of New Castle High School, Thelma was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara D. (Patrick) Williams; two sons, Gary T. (Linda) Withers and David L. Withers; two grandchildren, John R. Reed, Jr. and Wendi J. Reed; and one great-granddaughter, Elisabeth Reed. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Moon. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Thelma will be laid to rest by her husband at Graceland Cemetery. Arrangements are by the R.
