Theodore J. Forsey, age 92, of Neshannock Township, passed away the night of January 19, 2019 at Paramount Senior Living at Cranberry.
Born June 20, 1926 in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of Edwin and Elsa (Hedwall) Forsey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Lee (Washabau) Forsey on March 8, 2016.
He served his county during World War II in the army as a Technical Sergeant from 1944-1946.
Mr. Forsey was a manager for Bell Telephone for over 30 years until his retirement on April 1, 1985.
He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Ligonier Lodge No.331. Among his many interests he enjoyed tennis, ping-pong, woodworking, golf, photography and travel. He was a member of Kings Chapel Methodist Church.
Surviving are his two sons, James J. (Debi) Forsey of Pittsburgh, PA and Thomas E. (Kathy) Forsey of Silver Spring, MD; and two grandchildren, Jess and Alexa.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Murdoch.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A funeral service will take place on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Maryann Long officiating. Military Rites will be performed by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Castle View Cemetery.
