Thomas Burk, 72, of New Castle, passed away the evening on July 1, 2022 at UPMC Jameson. Thomas was born on November 2, 1949, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Thomas W. and Nancy Evans Burk. He married the former Florence E. Claypoole who preceded him in passing on August 21, 2013. Mr. Burk worked in heavy construction and with City Asphalt & Paving for over 40 years. He was a member of #935 Union. Thomas is survived by his 3 daughters, Joann Bissett, Jean Burk, Dawn (Joseph) Rendes; 2 Sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis J. and Brenda Burk, Shawn and Lynda Burk, all of New Castle; 1 brother, John Burk of Boyers, PA; 2 Sisters, Jessie Sutton of Slippery Rock, Judy Moore of Cleveland,; 13 Grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Thomas was preceded in passing by his sister, Nancy Warick and son-in-law, Wade Bissett. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
