Thomas Alan 'Tom' Freed, age 60, went to Heaven May 6, 2020 surrounded by his family. Born December 24, 1959 he was the son of Emma Jean Freed who survives, and Harold T. Freed who preceded him in death in December, 2019. He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Mary Ann (Kennedy) Freed, and their four children; Maryann (Freed) Hurd and husband George 'Buddy', James P. 'Jim' Freed, Cyndi (Freed) Garr and husband David, Aimee (Freed) Strayer and husband Kenny. He also leaves a sister, Carol Phelps of Floyd, VA; one brother, Jack Freed and wife Becky (Pelini) Freed; 16 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Katherine 'Pat' Kennedy, all of New Castle. Tom enjoyed home construction, gardening, a good game of pool and the company of his family and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Rest in Peace Tom.
