Timothy James White, 47, was called to the arms of the Lord on the evening of August 11, 2015 in New Castle, PA. He was born on July 23, 1968 in Woodstock, Illinois to James and Eileen Homo White. He is preceded in death by his mother. Timothy and Sherri Sue (Hoffman) Payne were joined in marriage on Ground Hog Day Feb. 2, 2002 in Punxatawney, PA. He is survived by 7 children, Ashley Ragusin, Alyssa Payne, Alayne Payne Gay (Matthew), Amyelia Payne, Alexander Payne, Aric Timothy Payne-White and Adyn Payne White; 2 younger sisters, Lynette Carlock (Jason) and Kristin White; and 2 granddaughters, Avamarie and Brielle. Timothy was a talented musician, majoring in voice at Northern Illinois University. He is a 1986 graduate of Woodstock Community High School in Woodstock, Ill. During high school he played many leading roles on stage including "Joseph" in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Coat and the "cowardly lion" in the Wizard of Oz. More recently he had the leading role as "Albert" in Bye Bye Birdie at the Colonial Theatre in South Hill, Va., in March of 2012. He also was keyboards and vocals in the band "Class of 62" during and after high school. He had multiple solos in holiday church performances and choir productions. Timothy achieved the prestigious Eagle Scout award in 1986 from Boy Scout Troop 159 in Woodstock, Ill., in addition to receiving the Alan Linders Memorial after he completed a major project of renovating the Olson Elementary School playground. He took multiple classes at Slippery Rock University in Geology, however, changed career paths to study HVAC and Refrigeration Technology at the New Castle School of Trades where he graduated in December, 2010 with honors and a 3.98 GPA. Timothy loved camping, boating, and the outdoors. His passion was playing piano and stepping out for Karaoke where he often would receive standing ovations. As it goes without saying, few wanted to follow his act. In South Hill, Va., he was a part time DJ for FM101.1 Rewind for a Saturday morning show that he hosted. He loved his family immensely and his primary role was stay at home dad to raise his children. Timothy loved sunsets and often would go to great lengths to capture them on photos. It was not uncommon to hear him say they made him feel closer to the Lord with whom he has now been called back to. He was a gentle soul, with a beautiful heart and contagious smile. He will be missed beyond words. God speed Timothy, may you find peace in the arms of the Lord. We love you. A memorial service will be announced at a later date to be held in Woodstock, Illinois at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
