Timothy Wade Wilkes, age 65, of New Castle, PA, passed away the early morning of Dec. 20, 2022, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born April 9, 1957, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Harriet (Ratcliff) Wilkes.

Tim was a graduate of Westinghouse Academy. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army where he was a paratrooper and a cook. Tim was employed by YDC, as a youth advocate, until his retirement. He enjoyed watching westerns, comedies, and horror movies. He was an avid fan of the NBA and college basketball. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church where he was involved in the men's ministry.

Survivors include his children, Shania Wilkes (Christian Fuchs) of Sharon, PA, Timothy Wilkes of New Castle, PA, Jasmine (Tony) Gaus of Freedom, PA, and Stephanie Wilkes (Jeffrey Masterson) of New Castle, PA; one brother, Robert Wilkes of Georgia; nine grandchildren; and two daughters, Mary Wilkes and Coi (Clifford) Henson both of Augusta, GA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Wilkes, one brother, John Wilkes, and life partner, Jill Kaufman.

In keeping with his wishes a service will be announced at a later date.
