Travis John Bintrim, Sr., age 49, of Slippery Rock, passed away the evening of June 17, 2023, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born Nov. 7, 1973, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of Thomas G. Bintrim and the late Nancy Lee (Barton) Bintrim.

Travis was a graduate of Laurel High School. All his life, he worked as a machine operator and construction foreman. Most recently Travis was employed by Mele Mele & Sons. He was a member of the Laborers Union 964 and a lifetime member of the Slippery Rock Twp., Fire Department, where he served for 31 years, from 1992, until the present. He loved riding his Harley and being outdoors. Most of all, Travis loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He was of the Christian Faith.

In addition to his father, Travis is survived by his fiancé, Angelique Johnson; his four children, Taylor (Jason) Wetzel of New Castle, PA, Travis J. Bintrim, Jr., of Slippery Rock, PA, Kayci Bintrim of Slippery Rock, PA, and Brayden Bintrim of Slippery Rock, PA; step-daughter, Jessica Johnson; two brothers, Ty (Michelle) Bintrim of Waynesburg, PA, and Andy (Lori) Bintrim of New Castle, PA; two grandchildren, Alaina and Brantlee Wetzel; and former spouse, Rebecca Bintrim.

Along with his mother, Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23rd, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Saturday, June 24th from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA, 16105.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 24th, immediately following visitation at the funeral home, at 11:00 AM with Gary Crawford, officiating.

Burial will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
