Velma J. Pyle, 89, of Shenango Presbyterian SeniorCare, formerly of Edgewood Avenue, passed away the morning of July 4, 2012 in New Wilmington.Born February 18, 1923, in New Castle, she was a daughter of Clarence L. and Mary E. Kelly Hennon.She married Robert W. Pyle on June 15, 1963. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2006.She was a 1941 graduate of Shenango High School.Velma was a clerk for 22 years at the G.C. Murphy Company. She also worked at Alice Moore's Dress Shop in New Wilmington and enjoyed babysitting and being a homemaker.She was a member of Wimodausis and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army.Velma was active with Hoover Heights C & MA Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and the treasurer of C & MA Women's Missionary Prayer Fellowship Group. She also was a member of the Prime Timers of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church.She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert S. and Carol E. Kuper Pyle of Volant; a brother, Dale Hennon and his wife Doris of Grove City; a sister-in-law, Theda Hennon of Massillon, OH; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and her husband Robert, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and C. Arthur Hennon; and an infant twin sister, Thelma.Visition will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev.
